This option is for a driver who has received a traffic ticket and elects to take traffic school to avoid points, insurance penalties and retain a "safe driver" status in accordance with requirements outlined in 318.1451, Florida statutes. Any driver who elects to take this course also receives an 18% reduction in the fine. This course is state-approved by the Department Highway Safety Motor Vehicles (DHSMV).
